The path to a more independent life

Together, we train towards your goals!

When you contact us, we start by scheduling a free meeting where we tell you about who we are and how we work. You also have the opportunity to ask questions, and we get to know you, the person who wants to start training with Move & Walk. This gives us a good understanding of you, your needs, and your expectations of us.

After the meeting, we put together the training you need to develop and live your life as independently and actively as possible. The Conductor selects the training group that best suits you – our groups are composed in a way that the participants have similar needs.

When you start a training period, we work towards the goals set by your Conductor, together with you and your loved ones. We take your abilities into account, and the training is highly varied to practice your motor, educational, and social skills. Your family or loved ones are involved throughout the training period, which helps them understand why your training is conducted in a certain way. The goal is for you to gain knowledge that you can use in your everyday life, and for your family to support you based on their understanding.

For some diagnoses, individual training is most suitable. Your Conductor, together with you, will determine which training will help you achieve your goals.

Our Children's Groups

All children love to play! Through Conductive Education in training, we ensure that your child develops and achieves the goals that you and your Conductor establish, all while having fun and playing. For the youngest children, we use songs and games to motivate the group in a fun way and encourage progress.

As your child grows older, the training is adapted to stimulate the determination and focus of the older children better – but of course, we still have fun while training! Our goal is for the children to see training as an enjoyable activity in their everyday lives while developing according to their individual needs.

Our Adult Groups

As an adult, you are often aware of what is challenging in your daily life and what poses the most significant challenges for you. We adapt the group to ensure that you feel motivated and happy while training with us. You will notice how you progress and make improvements, and you will be able to apply everything you learn even outside of your training sessions.

Specially trained staff assist you in your training.

Our group leaders are specially trained in neurological impairments, and they put together a pedagogical and enjoyable program for you. When your training period is completed, you will receive tasks that you can continue using at home, and you can also book individual or regular consultations. If needed, there is also the possibility of continued group training and individual follow-up.

Agreements in Your Region

Here, you can see which agreements are in place in your specific region!

Västra Götaland

If you live in Västra Götaland, have a cerebral palsy (CP) diagnosis, and are under 20 years old, you can train at Move & Walk at the expense of the Västra Götaland Region (VGR).

Through VGR, you also have the opportunity for intensive training in Conductive Education for 2-4 consecutive weeks, 2-4 hours per day, once a year. VGR covers your accommodation and breakfast for you and one accompanying person.

If there is no availability at our facilities, you have the option to stay at Snoozemore Hotel at Kvilletorget If you have an agreement through the Västra Götaland Region, your stay at the hotel will be free of charge. If you are a private guest, payment is required afterward.

Together with your conductor, you will determine the training duration that suits you best, whether it's two, three, or four hours per day. You will also decide whether group training or individual training will work best for you.

If you reside in Skåne and have a cerebral palsy (CP) diagnosis, you can train with us in Malmö with the support of the regional authorities. All you need to do is contact us, and we can meet with you, select the appropriate group for you, and assist you in submitting an application form to Region Skåne.

The region will then inform you directly if you have been allocated a spot. However, the number of spots is limited, but there is always the possibility to train with us privately. You can download the application form from the region's website.

If you missed the application deadline or if you live too far from Malmö to commute, there are additional options available through the National Agreement to train in Gothenburg or Stockholm.

If you are over 18 years old, you can train for 6-8 weeks per year, with a maximum of 16 training hours per week. Once you complete your training period, you have the opportunity to receive 20 consultations per year.

If you miss a scheduled session, you will be charged a fee of 400 SEK according to the region's regulations for outpatient care.

Other Counties

If you reside in a county that is not listed above, we do not have an agreement with your local healthcare region. Your options are:

  1. Contact the habilitation services directly.

Move & Walk has agreements with several regions and is also part of the National Agreement (Riksavtalet).

Evaluation and Customer Satisfaction Index

It is important for us to continue developing, and therefore, your feedback on our training is valuable to us. After completing a training period, we ask you to fill out a survey where you can provide feedback on your experience at Move & Walk, covering training, food, staff, accommodation, and more. This survey is completely anonymous and encompasses the entire experience. We evaluate all responses, which are then used in our continuous improvement efforts.

After each completed training period, our customers fill out a survey where they can provide feedback on their experience during their time at Move & Walk. The survey is anonymous and covers all aspects of the stay, including training, facilities, staff, food, accommodation, and more.

It is important that as many people as possible submit the surveys so that the results provide a reliable picture and can realistically influence customer expectations.

After each period, all surveys are evaluated together with relevant departments, such as reception, service unit, training, and if necessary, the food supplier.
